We are preparing a fantastic 2020! With five quilt alongs already in the works and a couple more being contemplated, we will have a lot of variety to offer. You are officially invited to join our creative journey. Whether you are an experienced quilter or just received your first sewing machine, our quilt alongs will be explained in simple terms to enable you to be successful.
The Details
The Country Charm Quilt Along features a free beginner-level quilt pattern made of half-square triangles (HST). We will demonstrate multiple methods of making HSTs so whether you are using small scraps, large scraps, or even yardage, you can make the most of your fabric.
While this quilt is a great pattern to use up some scraps, it can also be made with yardage. Fabric requirements and cutting instructions will be shared for both methods. Some days I feel a little scrappy while other days I prefer absolute coordination. Which will you choose?

Sharing Your Progress
We enjoy the bounty of inspiration from other quilters and learning new skills by participating in quilt alongs. Share your progress each week on Instagram with the hashtag #DayBrookDesignsCountryCharm2020 to be entered into the event giveaways. While you may work ahead, post your progress each week according to that week’s prompt (based on the weekly assignment). Sometimes one’s schedule allows extra time for sewing, so just snap a picture of the specific progress and save to post until the designated week.
Facebook Group
While we enjoy Instagram, DayBrook Designs also hosts a Facebook page. From our general announcement page, we offer a second option for sharing your QAL progress. Join our Facebook group page specifically for “DayBrook Designs Quilt Alongs“. A photo album will be created for each quilt along. Simply upload your progress picture for that week’s assignment and you will be entered in the giveaway.
